Chi Nei Tsang

Chi Nei Tsang as taught by Master Mantak Chia of The Healing Tao is based on thousands of years of experience by Chinese Taoists trained by individual instruction. These healers practiced and developed their arts in an era where there were no physicians and people had to know how to heal themselves. For many today the situation remains the same. Chi Nei Tsang focuses on the abdominal area in what the Taoists call the Navel Center where stress, negative emotions, tension, and sickness accumulate and congest.

When this occurs, all vital functions stagnate and digestive disorders become chronic, emotions embittered, lower back pain, reproductive disorders, and eliminative disfunction plague daily existence. Using Chi Nei Tsang techniques in and around the area of the navel provides the fastest method of healing and the most permanent results on the internal organs themselves.

In Chinese Medical theory, each of the internal organs has a specific corollary in our emotions: stomach- self image, spleen- worry, lungs- grief, large intestine- control issues, bladder and kidneys- fears, liver- anger, gall bladder- impatience, heart and small intestine- deep love issues. No other system I have ever seen so goes right to the heart of the matter... see? Think about all those little sayings we have- uptight, tight jawed, pain in the neck, tight-assed, lilly-livered, knots in my guts, yellow streaked and/or spineless- did you know that the bladder meridian runs up and down the spine 4 times? Bladder-fear: spineless- unable to act??? don't have a leg to stand on... and "pissed off?"

Chi Nei Tsang uses gentle motions and Chi Gong Energy Exchange to not only relax the soft tissue around the organ, but to change the very Nature of the CHI in each organ affecting its function and rebalancing the emotion associated with it. Constipation doesn't have a chance... gentle, kind, caring attention to an area of the body nearly ignored.

Many technique systems work mostly in the bodies extremities, far from the Navel Center and the organs themselves. This area is also the focal point of most Asian martial arts, meditation, and spiritual self-development systems, and ignored in the west. Cultivation of the Internal Fire, Chi of Longevity, Strength, and Compassion are rooted here.

Chi Nei Tsang is extremely rare in this part of the United States. I saw a book about it and immediately realized that this is what is missing from western theory and technique and limiting results in all other styles. I studied with Ron Diana, Senior Instructor with the Healing Tao in New York.
