Level 1 Cranial Sacral Therapy Workshop

Dear Gentle Hearted and Handed Friends of Healing,
Can there be any doubt that a lot of healing needs to be done in our world? Look into your body, and in the faces of those around you... I am reminded constantly of how much Cranial Work deeply helps people in a way NOTHING else can. I see people in my practice who have been to many other body worker/healers and the CAUSES of their discomfort have not been touched yet. Cranial Work blends well with any other healing style, and is often the "frosting on the cake" of some other treatment. It is usually the “deepest impacting” part of a massage session.

Cranial Work exists in the domain where medicine and metaphysics meet, so It is not just anatomy and technique! It demands a teaching situation that allows the time and style of learning that leaves you prepared and confident. I do this... Years of teaching and assisting have given me the opportunity to observe when students are not comfortable, and why. What causes most people to not fully "get it" in a Cranial class is that there is a distinct type and level of awareness that is conducive to the perceptions needed. When I keep the room, and the participants, in this space, you develop an association between that awareness and the work. You also learn much faster, with greater comprehension and retention.

I offer a chance to be in a small class of 6 people, where all your questions get answered, and your style and special interests dictate how I teach your class. The pace is determined by your needs, both as a student, and as a human on the table getting worked on. Some of the most important breakthroughs you can have show up in the heightened energy and intention of a classroom like this. Some of the best, and memorable, practical examples we can observe are right there in our bodies, if we allow the time in class for them to unfold... and I do in my classes.

I have often said that Cranial Work will be the bridge between medicine and metaphysics. It is correct in both domains if a little something is added to it. I start the class with an overview of traditional energetic healing styles from around the world, and their importance in repairing our dissociative medical model, and your clients bodies and lives. You will learn to apply the essence of healing to the Cranial Technique. These principles dovetail with Cranial work and triple the benefits your clients receive. It also makes it easier on you, and more fun.

We will be using Dr. John Upledger's FIRST book, Craniosacral Therapy (brown cover) ISBN 0-939616-01-7, with my many important improvements and additional techniques added. I ask you to read the first six chapters before the course... for very good reason.... you will get much, much more out of the class. Make it fun... Keep in mind that while this book is a university medical text, the class is a natural right-brain learning experience. Enjoy the read! The class is a real healing as well. The 4 day workshop will be delivered in Southfield over two consecutive weekends: February 23nd & 24rd and March 1st & 2nd. Times are 9 am to 5 pmish depending on your needs. Please leave a little room for any adjusting...
